instantdosa recipeInstant dosa recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This is a crispy and tasty dosa recipe, which can be prepared in very less time. This instant dosa is prepared using rava, wheat flour, curd and salt. This is a crispy rava dosa recipe with grinding.

With this recipe, you can prepare crispy thin dose. However if you like soft dose, then don't roast the dose for long time or add some more water to the batter.

You can use well-seasoned cast Iron pan or non-stick pan for this recipe. Use the same pan, which you generally use for making urad dal dosa.

Instant dosa recipe

Preparation time: 15 min
Cooking time: 10 min
Serves: 3

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup medium rava (upma rava)
  2. 1/4 cup wheat flour
  3. 1 cup curd
  4. 1/4 tsp cooking soda
  5. Oil for making dose
  6. 1 tsp salt (or as per your taste)

Instructions for making instant dosa:

  1. Take medium rava or upma rava in a mixie jar.rava for instant dosa or rave dose
  2. Grind the rava until semi-fine without adding any water.grinding rava for instant dosa or rave dose
  3. Transfer it into a container. Add in wheat flour (godi hittu).wheat flour, rave and rice flour for instant dosa or rave dose
  4. Also add in curd.onion for instant dosa or rave dose
  5. Give a good mix. Prepare dosa batter by adding required water (around 1/2 cup). Make sure that there are no lumps. Rest it for 15 minutesbatter for instant dosa or rave dose
  6. Add in salt and cooking soda.salt and soda for instant dosa or rave dose
  7. Give a quick mix. Prepare dosa batter having regular dosa batter consistency by adding required water.batter for instant dosa or rave dose
  8. Now heat the cast iron pan (well seasoned) or non-stick pan. Pour a laddle full of batter and spread the dose in a circular way just like regular urad dal dose.making instant dosa or rave dose
  9. Close the lid and allow it to cook for 10 seconds. cooking instant dosa or rave dose
  10. Open the lid and drizzle 1tsp of oil or ghee. Reduce the flame and allow it to cook on low flame for few seconds.oil or ghee for instant dosa or rave dose
  11. Fold the dosa on the pan itself. Take it out and serve it with coconut chutney or sambar.instant dosa or rave dose on iron pan
