avalakki boondi or avalakki sweet snacks

Avalakki boondi or gatti avalakki sweet snacks recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This is a very easy, crispy and tasty snacks using thick beaten rice or poha. This avalakki sweet boondi is prepared using thick beaten rice, sugar, little ghee, peanuts and cashews.

To make this snacks healthy, I have dry roasted the beaten rice. However if you want to make it more light and crispy, you can deep fry the beaten rice. This gatti avalakki snacks tastes unique with the light sugar coating. It reminds us of caramel popcorn.

Serve this as a snacks along with a cup of tea. I felt this avalakki snacks tastes better after a day. So wait for atleast few hours and then serve it.
