Ananas payasa or pineapple payasa explained with step by step pictures. Ananas payasa or pineapple payasa is a sweet delicacy prepared using pineapple, jaggery and coconut milk. You can use store bought coocnut milk or home made coconut milk. I prefer homemade coocnut milk. In Karnataka "payasam" or "kheer" is called by name just "payasa". And in Kannada language pineapple is called by name ananas. So this payasam is familiar by name "ananas payasa" in Karnataka.
I learnt this ananas or pineapple payasa recipe from my mom-in-law. She just loves preparing and serving varieties of payasas. She prepares many tasty payasas like bottlegourd payasa, jackfruit payasa, carrot payasa, dates payasa, mungdal payasa, rava payasa, bengal gram dal payasa, poppy seeds payasa, sabudana payasa, sweet potato payasa, vermicelli payasa, halu payasa or rice kheer, cucumber payasa and many more. Like this the payasa list goes on.
This Ananas or pineapple payasa is very tasty and easy to prepare. If you are looking for more sweet recipes then do check carrot halwa, roasted gram laddu, Kesari bath , banana halwa, coconut burfi, saat or badusha and badam puri recipes.
