Kobbari mithai or kaayi burfi explained with step by step pictures. This is a very simple and tasty sweet recipe. Kayi burfi or coconut burfi is prepared using very minimum ingredients like coconut, sugar and a little ghee. Kobbari mithai or kaayi burfi is also popular by name "kayi paaka".
I learnt this coconut burfi recipe from my mother. I love this sweet a lot. So I keep preparing it often. Since kayi burfi or coconut burfi is a very easy and simple dessert, even the beginners can try and enjoy!!
There are two methods of preparing coconut burfi. First method is mixing sugar and coconut together and then stirring it. The second method is making sugar syrup and then add the coconut. I have explained here the second method because it gives a nice white colour to the burfis. I have made a quick video of this recipe. Please have a look.
