Badam halwa or almond halwa recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Badam halwa is very easy to prepare. Badam halwa is prepared using almond, sugar, milk and little ghee. Badam halwa is one of richest and tastiest halwa.
My son loves badam burfi, badam halwa, peda and any milk based sweets. So I keep preparing these type of sweets.
In this recipe I have used nonstick kadai or pan. If you do not have a nonstick utensil, then you may have to increase the amount of ghee to avoid sticking. And as you increase the ghee, you may have to increase the sugar amount also slightly. I have embedded a quick video below. Please have a look on it.
I have two more badam recipes on this website. They are badam burfi and carrot badam payasa recipes.
I have added kesar or saffron in this recipe, which is an optional ingredient. You can replace it with food colour too. And to peel the badam either soak it for 7 - 8 hours or put it in the boiling water for 10 minutes.
