Wheat flour and few other spices are used in this spicy deep fried snacks recipe. This is a kids friendly recipe.

This is a very tasty evening tea time snacks. Kids will love this and it tastes like roasted rich cookies. Generally shankar pali is prepared using maida and here in this recipe, I have used wheat flour to make it healthy. You can find one many more wheat flour snacks on this website. Wheat flour snacks recipe

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 10 min
Serves: 4

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1/2 cup wheat flour
  2. 2 - 3 tbsp oil
  3. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  4. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  5. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  6. 1/4 - 1/2 tsp carom seeds or ajwain or oma
  7. Salt as per you taste
  8. Water as required
  9. Oil for deep frying

Instructions for making wheat flour snacks:

  1. Take wheat flour in a container.wheat flour for wheat flour snacks or evening tea time snacks
  2. Add in red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder and carom seeds (oma or ajwain).spices for wheat flour snacks or evening tea time snacks
  3. Add in salt as per your taste. I have added 1/2 tsp salt.salt for wheat flour snacks or evening tea time snacks
  4. Give a quick mix and add in 2 tbsp very hot oil. You can add 3 tbsp if you want to make them more crispy.hot oil for wheat flour snacks or evening tea time snacks
  5. Optionally you can add 1/2 tsp powdered sugar. It enhances the taste.sugar for wheat flour snacks or evening tea time snacks
  6. Give a quick mix using a spoon. Followed by rub and mix well using hands.Mixing the flour for wheat flour snacks or evening tea time snacks
