Veg paratha or vegetable parota recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This is a very tasty and healthy breakfast or light dinner recipe. This veg paratha or vegetable parota can be prepared in very less time. Mixed vegetables like onion, capsicum, carrot and cabbage are used in this recipe. Any other finely chopped or grated vegetables and leaves can be used in this recipe.

I have used mixed vegetables like onion, carrot, capsicum and cabbge in this recipe. You can use any vegetable of your choice but make sure you chop it finely or grate it. Also you can use any leaves of your choice. I have added curry leaves and coriander leaves. You can serve this chapathi or paratha as it is, without any accompaniments. Or just serve it with kethcup and curd.

This veg paratha or vegetable parota is a quick and easy recipe. You can prepare it for breakfast or light dinner. You can also serve these to kids as evening snacks. This is a new breakfast recipe and is very healthy.

Veg paratha recipe

Preparation time: 20 min
Cooking time: 15 min
Serves: 8 no

Ingredients for the dough: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup wheat flour
  2. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  3. 1/4 cup grated carrot
  4. 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
  5. 1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage
  6. 1 green chilli finely chopped
  7. 1 tsp ginger paste
  8. 1 tbsp curry leaves
  9. 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  10. 1 tsp corinader powder
  11. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  12. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  13. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  14. 1 tsp salt or as per your taste
  15. 6 - 8 tsp ghee or oil

Instructions for making veg paratha:

  1. Take mixed vegetables (onion, carrot, capsicum and cabbage) in a wide container. Add in chopped green chillies, curry leaves, ginger paste and coriander leaves.mixed vegetables for Veg paratha or vegetable parota recipe

  3. Next add in coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and cumin powder.spices for Veg paratha or vegetable parota recipe

  7. Roll it into a thick chapati or paratha. Optionally you can use a bowl or a plate and cut out the edges to get the perfect round shape.making veg paratha or vegetable parota recipe
