Masala peanuts or kara kadle recipe explained with step by step pictures. Masala peanuts are prepared using peanuts, gram flour, red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder and asafoetida. These deep fried masala or spicy peanuts are familiar by name kara kalde or masale kadlekai in Kannada.
Masala peanuts are very popular tea time snacks from Indian state of Karnataka. These are loved by all and one of my most favorite snacks. Preparing kara kadle at home is very easy. I keep preparing this in small batches very frequently. If you are looking for more peanuts or kadlekai or shenga recipes then check my congress kadlekai, peanuts laddu and hurigalu recipes.
We have posted many deep fried tea time snacks like stuffed mirchi bajji, crispy chilli bajji, doddapatre bajji, goli baje, maddur vada, kayi vade, kara kaddi, aloo bonda etc., under Karnataka snacks recipes section. Try these tasty snacks recipes and enjoy it with a cup of masala tea.
