Aloo bonda or alugadde bonda recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Aloo bonda is prepared using potatoes, spices and gram flour batter. To prepare aloo bonda first mashed potato and spices are mixed to prepare the palya or masala. Then a lemon sized palya or aloo masala is dipped in spicy gram flour batter and then deep fried in the oil. The potato masala is similar to one which we prepare with masala dosa but onions are not uesd.
These alu bonda or potato bondas are also called as batata vada but the recipe is little different. This is typical Karnataka style alugadde bonda recipe. And I served these aloo bonda with hot masala tea.
