Onion coriander leaves chutney recipe

Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 10 min
Serves: 4

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 onion
  2. 1 tsp gram dal
  3. 1 tsp urad dal
  4. 1 - 2 green chilies
  5. 4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  6. 1/2 cup grated coconut
  7. One small marble sized tamarind
  8. Salt as per your taste
  9. 2 tsp cooking oil

Ingredients for tempering:

  1. 2 tsp cooking oil
  2. 1 red chili
  3. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  4. 1/2 tsp urad dal
  5. 4 - 5 curry leaves

Instructions for making onion coriander leaves chutney:

  1. Chop the onion and green chilies.
  2. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a frying pan. Add in gram dal and urad dal. Start roasting them under medium flame.dals for onion coriander leaves chutney
  3. Add in chopped onion and green chilies.onion and green chilies for onion coriander leaves chutney
  4. Fry until onions turn translucent. Next add in coriander leaves. Fry until soft.chopped tomato for onion coriander leaves chutney
