Kadle bele uddina bele chutney recipe

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 5 min
Serves: 4

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup grated coconut
  2. 1 - 2 red chili
  3. 2 tsp urad dal
  4. 2 tsp gram dal or chana dal
  5. 1/4 tsp coriander seeds
  6. A small marble sized tamarind
  7. 1/2 tsp cooking oil
  8. Salt as per your taste

Ingredients for tempering:

  1. 2 tsp cooking oil
  2. 1 red chili
  3. 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  4. 4 curry leaves
  5. A pinch of asafoetida

Instructions for making kadle bele uddina bele chutney:

  1. Take a frying pan, add 1/2 tsp oil and heat it. Add in red chili, gram dal, coriander seeds and urad dal. Fry until dal turns slightly brown.fried ingredients for gram dal and urad dal chutney
  2. Grind grated coconut, fried ingredients, salt and tamarind using required water.grind gram dal and urad dal chutney
