Radish chutney is a very simple recipe prepared using raw radish, coconut and some minimum spices. This tastes very good with rice and healthy too. This chutney takes very less time and if you try once, I am sure you will add this in your recipe list forever.

Radish contains plenty of 'C' Vitamin. Including radish in your diet helps treating or preventing certain ailments like Jaundice, BP, Piles, Cancer, Diabetes etc., So include radish in your diet through this radish chutney.

Radish chutney Recipe

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 5 min
Serves: 2

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 medium sized radish
  2. 1-2 red chilis
  3. 1/4 tsp coriander seeds
  4. 1/4 cup grated coconut
  5. A small piece tamarind
  6. Salt as per your taste

Ingredients required for tempering:

  1. 1/2 red chili
  2. 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  3. 4-5 curry leaves
  4. 1 tsp cooking oil

Instructions for making Radish Chutney:

  1. Wash and grate the radish.grating radish for radish chutney
  2. Take coconut, red chili, coriander seeds, salt and tamarind in a mixie jar.spices for radish or moolangi chutney
  3. Fine grind it by adding little water.grinding spices for radish chutney
  4. Now to the same jar add in grated radish and grind it for about 5 seconds.grinding raw radish for radish chutney
  5. Transfer it to a bowl and temper it with oil, red chili, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Serve it with hot steaming rice.tempering radish chutney
