mavinakayi chutney or raw mango chutney

Mavinakayi chutney or raw mango chutney recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This mavinakai chutney or raw mango chutney is prepared using raw mango, coconut, fried red chilli and fried urad dal. Mango chutney can be prepared by just grinding raw mango, coconut and green chillis. But this type of Mango chutney tastes unique because of the fried urad dal.

I have used half mango for this chutney as it was not that sour. So adjust the mango quantity based on your taste and the sourness of mango. Or if you feel the chutney is very sour, add some more coconut and grind it. It will reduce the sourness.

I have posted many mango recipes on this website like Mango pickle, Mango curry, Mango popsicles, Mango rasam, Mango rice and Mango chitranna recipes.

This mango chutney is very tasty and is my personal favorite. You can serve this chutney with hot steamed rice. Also Mango chutney is a heavenly combination with neer dosa. Mango season is around. What are you waiting for? Prepare all these yummy Mango recipes and enjoy.
