Ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Ellu unde or til laddu is prepared using jaggery, dessicated coconut and sesame seeds. This ellunde or til laddu or sesame seeds ladoo is a very easy laddu or unde recipe because it is just prepared without jaggery syrup. Like my easy rave unde or rava laddu and shenga unde or peanut laddu. These 2 laddus are also with no jaggery syrup.

Ellu unde or sesame seeds ladoo recipe

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 15 min
Serves: 16 no

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1/2 cup sesame seeds or til or ellu
  2. 1/4 cup dry or dessicated coconut
  3. 1/2 cup jaggery (little less than 1/2 cup)
  4. 1 cardamom

Instructions for making ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo:

  1. Heat a pan and start roasting the sesame seeds under medium flame.ground nuts for ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
  2. When the sesame seeds are swollen and starts to pop, add in dessicated coconut and cardamom.coconut for ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
  3. Continue frying under low flame until coconut turns slightly brown. Frying for a minute would be sufficient. When it is done switch off the stove.coconut for ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
  4. Wait until fried ingredients are cool and then transfer it into a mixie jar.fried ingredients for ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
  5. Now grind it for a while and make a coarse powder. Do not over grind it.grinding for ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
  6. Now add in powdered jaggery and grind it again.jaggery for ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
  7. Just grind it for a while. Do not over grind it.ground mixture for ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
  8. Transfer it to a container. Rub and give a quick mix. Take small portion of the mixture and make the laddus using your fist.making ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
  9. Finish making all the laddus and store it in a airtight container. These laddus can stay good for a week.ellunde or sesame seeds ladoo
