Ananas menaskai or pineapple curry recipe explained with step by step pictures. This menaskai is prepared using pineapple, red chili, sesame seeds, jaggery, coconut and few other spices. Pineapple menaskai or pineapple gojju is a very tasty curry. This is an Udupi style sweet and sour gravy and goes well with rice or chapathi.

Menaskai is a very popular sweet, spicy and sour gravy prepared across Udupi-Mangalore or Karavali region of Karnataka. I have used pineapple or ananas in this recipe. Menaskai can be prepared using other vegetables like bitter gourd, capsicum, raw mango etc., You can find capsicum menaskai recipe here.

Pineapple has several health benefits. Pineapple supports Immune system. It is good for bone strength, eye health and digestion. I prefer eating pineapple as a fruit. But when you have excess Pineapple you can try various recipes like pineapple juice, pineapple palya, pineapple payasa etc.,
