Balekai palya recipe

Balekai palya or raw banana stir fry recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Fresh ground masala is used in this baalekayi playa and it tastes too good with rice or chapathi. This balakai palya is prepared using raw banana, fresh grated coconut, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, green chilli, coriander leaves are used along with a big fat tempering.

You can use any raw banana for this palya recipe. And if the bananas are very tender, you need not even peel the bananas. Raw banana recipes are very tasty. Apart from this palya, you can prepare mixed vegetable sambar, banana chips, banana or balekai snacks, avial and bajji using raw banana.

My mother always prepares this balekai palya. My mother lives in a village and it is very common to get raw bananas there due to heavy wind during rainy seasons. Due to rain and wind banana tree will fall. Also sometimes monkeys will come and start eating raw bananas and they will destroy the whole tree.
