Akki hittina dose or instant rice flour dosa recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Akki hittina dose or instant rice flour dosa is prepared using rice flour, onion, coriander leaves, green chilli, cumin seeds and grated coconut. This is an instant neer dosa recipe. Akki hittina neer dosa is a very easy and very quick dosa recipe. Instant akki hittu dose or neer dose can be served with coconut chutney or any other chutneys.

To prepare this dose, I have used well seasoned cast Iron pan. However you can use a non-stick pan if you don't have a seasoned cast Iron pan. I have posted many neer dosa recipes like plain neer dosa, cucumber neer dosa, spicy or uppu-huli neer dosa, ragi neer dosa etc., Rice flour is the main ingredient in this dosa. And you can prepare this dosa with riceflour alone. But adding other ingredients like onion. leaves and green chilli enhances the taste and flavour.

Akki hittina dose or instant neer dosa

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 15 min
Serves: 1

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 cup rice flour
  2. 1 onion finely chopped
  3. Some coriander leaves chopped
  4. 1 - 2 green chillies chopped
  5. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  6. 2 tbsp grated coconut
  7. Ghee or oil for cooking
  8. Salt as per your taste

Instructions for making akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe:

  1. Take rice flour in a bowl or in a container.rice flour for akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  2. Add in finely chopped onion, coriander leaves and green chilli.onion, coriander leaves and green chilli for akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  3. Add in a tsp of cumin seeds.cumin seeds for akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  4. Also add in fresh grated coconut and salt as per your taste. I have added little more than 1/2 tsp.coconut and salt for akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  5. Mix everything well. Start preparing thin batter by adding water little by little.water for akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  6. The batter shall have thin flowing consistency. But little thicker than neer dosa or rava dosa batter.thin batter for akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  7. Now heat the dosa pan and grease it with oil. I used cast iron pan and greased it using ridge gourd stalk. You can use nonstick pan too.greasing pan for akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  8. Next take a laddle full of batter and pour it over the hot pan. Just like rava dosa. Mix the batter well using a laddle before making each dosa.making akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  9. Close the lid for 5 - 10 seconds.cooking akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  10. Open the lid, drizzle soe oil and wait for few seconds.oil for akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
  11. Take out the dosa from the pan using a flat spatula. Enjoy instant dosa with chutney or sambar.making akki hittu dose or instant neer dosa recipe
