tomato rice recipe

Tomato rice recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This tomato rice is very tasty, easy and simple one pot meal recipe. Tomato rice or tomato bath is prepared using rice, tomato, onion, green chili, red chili powder, ginger, coriander powder, garam masala and few other spices.

In this tomato rice or tomato bath recipe, dry spice powders are used. So no need of grinding masala. I have prepared tomato puree by grinding tomato in this tomato rice recipe. However you can skip grinding and use finely chopped tomatoes. You can find 2 more types of tomato rice or tomato bath recipes on this website. The first one is authentic Karnataka style tomato bath and the second one is no-onion, no-garlic tomato bath.

I have used kasuri methi or dried fenugreek leaves in this recipe, which you can replace it with fresh methi leaves and add it while frying onion.
