10 minute quick sambar recipe

10 minute quick sambar recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This sambar can be prepared in very less time. It hardly takes 10 -15 miutes to prepare. This quick sambar is prepared using onion, tomato, capsicum, carrot and fresh ground masala. Instead of fresh ground masala, you can use sambar powder also.

Mixed vegetables are used in this sambar, which cooks faster. Among them you can skip either capsicum or carrot. You can try this sambar using other fast cooking vegetables too.

I have not cooked toor dal in this recipe. Instead I have roasted it along with other ingredients. Roasting the dal and then grinding with other masala ingredients gives a very nice unique taste to the sambar. Also I have added jaggery in this recipe. Some people like jaggery in sambar but some people don't prefer it. What I suggest is adjust the jaggery as per your taste but don't skip it. You can adjust tamarind and salt also as per your taste.
