Mushti kadubu recipe explained with step by step pictures and video. Both sweet and spicy versions of kadubu are explained. Sihi mushti kadubu is prepared using rice flour, jaggery, coconut and little ghee. Kara mushti kadubu is prepared using rice flour, coconut, chilli, ginger, curry leaves and little ghee. This is a very tasty and easy kadubu recipe. This mushti kadubu can be prepared in very less time.
Mushti translates to "fist" in Kannada language. Since fist is used to prepare the dumplings, it is called as mushti kadubu (fist dumplings). In Tamil language it is familiar by name pidi kozhukattai.
These kadubu or dumplings are very tasty. And the sweet and spicy combination makes it rich. This mushti kadubu can be prepared for festivals (especially ganesha festival), as evening snacks or as a breakfast. I have used 1/2 cup of water for 1/2 cup of rice flour in sweet version. And I have used 3/4 cup of water for 1/2 cup of rice flour in spicy version.
The best part in musthi kadubu is, it can be prepared in very less time easily. Even the beginners can prepare this kadubu. So I would say this is a must try recipe.
