Simple, Tasty and healthy thambuli ot tambli or raita using raw doddapathre or Coleus amboinicus leaves. Doddapathre thambuli or raita prepared using raw doddapathre, curd and coconut. This is a unique recipe from raw doddapathre leaves, but tastes great with rice.

Doddapathre hasi thambuli or raita recipe

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 5 min
Serves: 2

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 120ml)

  1. 15-20 doddapathre leaves / Coleus amboinicus leaves
  2. 1/2 cup grated coconut
  3. 1 cup curd / yoghurt
  4. 1 red chili
  5. 1 tsp cooking oil / ghee
  6. 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  7. Water as required
  8. Salt as per your taste.

Instructions for making doddapathre hasi thambuli or raita

  1. Wash and finely chop doddapathre leaves. In a bowl add chopped leaves, salt and mix well. Leave it for few minutes.chop and fry doddapatre leaves for thambli
  2. Grind the coconut and add it to the same bowl. Add curd and water. Temper it with oil, mustard seeds and red chili. Serve it with hot rice. grind doddapatre leaves with coconut for thambli
