Gatti avalakki oggarane or masala thick poha is prepared using thick beaten rice, onion, tomato and few other spices. Gatti avalakki oggarane is also known as avalakki chitranna.

This is a very easy but tasty recipe. You can prepare this avalakki oggarane or khara avalakki in 15 - 20 minutes. You can prepare this either for breakfast or as evening snacks. I have used 2 cups of thick beaten rice or poha in this recipe, which you can replace it with 3 cups of medium poha. Do try this and enjoy the simplicity of cooking.
