Sabsige soppu akki rotti or rice flour roti with dill leaves recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Sabsige soppu akki rotti is a rice flour flat bread and is prepared using rice flour, dill leaves, onion, green chili, coconut and cumin seeds. Sabsige soppu akki rotti or sabbasige soppu akki rotti is a popular breakfast recipe from Karnataka.
I would say this is a very tasty and most flavorful akki rotti since sabbasige soppu (dill leaves) is used. Sabsige or sabbasige soppu (Kannada) is known by diffent names in India like shepu (Marathi and Konkani), savaa (Hindi), soa (Punjabi), Soa-kura (Telugu), Sada kuppi (Tamil), Chathakuppa or Sathakuppa (Malayalam), suva (Gujarati). If you are looking for more recipes from dill leaves then do check my dill leaves rasam and nuchinunde recipes.
Akki rotti or chawal ki roti is an instant and healthy breakfast recipe. In Bangalore-Mysore region of Karnataka generally akki rotti is prepared using sabsige soppu or dill leaves. But like any other recipe akki rotti recipe also varies from region to region. Like I have posted malnad style akki rotti and avarekalu akki rotti recipes.
