Kalasida avalakki or dadpe poha recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This is a very easy and tasty avalakki recipe. This avalakki recipe is prepared using medium thick avalakki (or thin avalakki), onion, tomato, coconut, coriander leaves, shenga (peanuts), green chilli, curry leaves, mustard, cumin, sugar, salt and lemon juice.
This is a Maharashtra style avalakki recipe and is vry popular there by the name "dadpe poha recipe". Dadpe means "pressed avalakki", however I felt "kalasida avalakki" is a better name.
You can find many avalakki or poha recipes on this website. I have also posted bangalore-mysore style gojjavalakki, mangalore style gojjavalakki and malnad style gojjavalakki recipes. These are all very tasty recipes. So kindly have a look.
You can find one more gatti avalakki oggarane recipe, which makes use of onion and tomato. This is a much simpler and bachelor friendly recipe. The complete preparation takes hardly 10 minutes.
