This tasty weight loss salad is prepared using commonly available ingredients like boiled chickpea, chopped cucumber, onion, tomato, grated carrot, radish, coriander leaves, salt, pepper powder, lemon juice and little oil.

We all have cravings and it's quiete natural. Especially during evening, most of us feel hungry or bored. And most of us end up eating some junk food due to several reasons. But preparing a healthy salad like this is very easy, healthy and it fills our tummy too. I have shared one more healthy boiled peanut salad salad recently. Vegetable salad recipe

Preparation time: 15 min
Cooking time: 30 min
Serves: 2 - 3

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1/4 cup chickpea or kadlekaalu
  2. 1/2 cup finely chopped cucumber
  3. 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  4. 1/2 cup finely chopped tomato
  5. 1/2 cup grated carrot
  6. 1/2 cup grated radish
  7. 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds or ellu
  8. 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander Leaves
  9. 1/4 - 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  10. 1 - 2 tsp lemon juice
  11. 1 tsp coconut oil or olive oil
  12. Salt to taste

Instructions for making boiled peanut chat:

  1. Soak 1/4 cup chickpea or kadlekaalu for 5 - 6 hours.
  2. Cook the soaked chickpea until soft by adding salt and required water. So after this step you will get 1/2 cup cooked chickpea.
  3. Now in a container or a wide bowl, take chopped cucumber, chopped tomato, grated radish, grated carrot and chopped onion.vegetables for vegetable salad or easy salad for weight loss
  4. Also add in cooked chickpea or chana or kadlekaalu. Please note chickpeas are salted.cooked chickpeas for vegetable salad or easy salad for weight loss

  6. Followed by sprinkle roasted sesame seeds (ellu) on top. Both chickpea and sesame seeds gives us required protein.roasted sesame seeds for vegetable salad or easy salad for weight loss
  7. Also add in salt and pepper powder as per your taste.salt and pepper for vegetable salad or easy salad for weight loss
  8. Add in a tsp of oil. I have added coconut oil. You can add olive oil or any other oil.oil for vegetable salad or easy salad for weight loss
