Hesaru kaalu usli or green gram sundal recipe explained with step by step pictures. Hesarukalu usli or oggarane is a tasty and healthy snacks prepared using green gram or mung beans. This is a no-onion usli and is prepared using green gram sprouts. You can serve this along with a cup of masala tea.

This tpe of hesarukalu usli is my Sister's signature dish. She and her family loves this and she prepares it quite often. She don't like onion in this and hence she prepares it this way. And I always prepare hesarukalu usli with onion. During my last visit to her house, she had prepared this. And then I realised that it tastes good without onion also. So I am posting this recipe for you all.
In Karnataka, if salad is prepared using raw soaked dal or lentils then it is called as kosambari. And if salad is prepared usind cooked dal or lentils then it is called as usli.
