This tpe of hesarukalu usli is my Sister's signature dish. She and her family loves this and she prepares it quite often. She don't like onion in this and hence she prepares it this way. And I always prepare hesarukalu usli with onion. During my last visit to her house, she had prepared this. And then I realised that it tastes good without onion also. So I am posting this recipe for you all.

In Karnataka, if salad is prepared using raw soaked dal or lentils then it is called as kosambari. And if salad is prepared usind cooked dal or lentils then it is called as usli. I have posted three more usli or sundal recipes like maland style usli or sundal, sour and spicy usli or sundal and avarekalu usli or sundal. All these are very tasty and healthy. Do try them and enjoy!
