Southekayi mosaru palya recipe

Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 5 min
Serves: 2

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 medium sized cucumber
  2. 1/2 cup curd
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1 - 2 green chillies
  5. 1 tbsp curry leaves
  6. Big pinch of asafoetida
  7. Big pinch of turmeric
  8. 1 tsp salt or as per your taste

Ingredients for tempering: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 1 red chili
  2. 1 tbsp cooking oil
  3. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  4. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 1 tsp urad dal

Instructions for making southekayi mosaru palya:

  1. Take one medium sized cucumber.cucumber for southekayi mosaru palya or cucumber raita recipe
  2. Finely chop the cucumber. Refer to the image or video. Take tender cucumber and optionally you can peel it.chopping cucumber for southekayi mosaru palya or cucumber raita recipe
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil. Prepare tempering using mustard seeds, cumin seeds and urad dal.tempering for southekayi mosaru palya or cucumber raita recipe
