Mysore pak recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. Soft mysore pak is prepared using gram flour, sugar, ghee and groundnut oil. This is a very easy and perfect way to prepare soft mysore pak using less ghee.

Mysore pak is my favorite sweet recipe and it is one of the very popular recipes from Karnataka. I have been preparing this from many years. It comes out pretty well. This is my first recipe of the year 2023 on this website. You can also find one more very tasty seven cups burfi recipe on this website.

Mysore pak recipe

Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 30 min
Serves: 20 no

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 120ml)

  1. 1 cup gram flour or kadlehittu or besan
  2. 2 cups sugar
  3. 1 cup ghee
  4. 1.5 cups oil
  5. 1 cup water
  6. Big pinch of turmeric (optional)

Instructions for making mysore pak:

  1. To begin with measure and take all the ingredients.greased plate for soft mysore pak recipe
  2. Grease a plate or tray with ghee. Also measure and take a cup of water.grind coconut for soft mysore pak recipe
  3. Next in a bowl, take gram flour and 1/2 cup of oil. Mix it well and prepare a lump free mixture.gram flour for soft mysore pak recipe
  4. Optionally add in a pinch of turmeric to give mysore pak good colour.sugar for soft mysore pak recipe
  5. Next heat 1 cup oil and 1 cup ghee together in a container.coconut for soft mysore pak recipe

  7. In another pan, take 2 cups sugar and 1 cup oil. Keep it for boiling.milk for soft mysore pak recipe
  8. Stir occasionally and boil until one string consisteny.ghee for soft mysore pak recipe
  9. Add in gram flour and oil mixture. Start stirring under medium flame.making soft mysore pak recipe
  10. Wait until it is mixed well. Start adding ladleful of hot oil and ghee by stirring continously.making soft mysore pak recipe
  11. Finish adding the oil+ghee time by time by stirring continuously.making soft mysore pak recipe
  12. Finally at one point the mixture will start leaving the edges. Also it will turn bubbly and light.the final stage of soft mysore pak recipe

  14. Wait until it settles down or the top layer starts to harden. Immediately cut it into pieces.cutting the soft mysore pak recipe
