tomato avalakki or poha recipe

Tomato avalakki or poha recipe explained with step by step pictures and a video. This is a very easy and tasty avalakki recipe. Tomato avalakki is prepared using thick poha, tomato, onion, cumin, mustard, ginger, curry leaves, red chilli powder, dhaniya powder, garam masala, grated coconut and coriander leaves.

I have made the recipe simpler, however you can get creative and add extra ingredients as per your choice. For example you can add peanuts (shenga) or cashews while tempering. Also you can add 1 or 2 green chillies for extra spiciness. You can add lemon juice at the end if you love super tangy tomato avalakki.

You can find many avalakki or poha recipes on this website. I have also posted bangalore-mysore style gojjavalakki, mangalore style gojjavalakki and malnad style gojjavalakki recipes. These are all very tasty recipes. So kindly have a look.
