This bellulli mandakki or kadlepuri is very easy to prepare and is very tasty. Serve this garlic churumuri or murumura as an evening snacks or as a breakfast. This is very tasty recipe using puffed rice, garlic, red chilli, curry leaves, salt and oil. You can prepare this mandaki or churumuri in just 5 minutes

Fresh ground raw masala is used in this garlic bhel recipe. In general it will be spicy, however you can adjust the green chilli as per to your spice level. Also coconut oil is added, which enhances the taste of churumuri. But if you want you can replace it with any other vegetable oil or melted ghee. And you can replace garlic with cumin seeds, if you don't like garlic.

Bellulli ona khara mandakki recipe

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 0 min
Serves: 4

Ingredients: (measuring cup used = 240ml)

  1. 4 - 5 cups mandakki or puffed rice
  2. 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
  3. 4 - 5 red chilles
  4. 4 - 5 cloves of garlic (or 1/2 tsp cumin seeds)
  5. Some curry leaves
  6. 2 tbsp coconut oil (any other oil or ghee)
  7. Salt to taste

Instructions for making bellulli ona khara mandakki:

  1. Measure and take mandakki (puffed rice) in a kadai.mandakki for bellulli ona khara mandakki or garlic churumuri
  2. Make sure the puffed rice is crispy. If not fry it for a while under low flame to make it crispy.puffed rice for bellulli ona khara mandakki or garlic churumuri
  3. Take the ingredients like grated coconut, garlic, red chillies, curry leaves and salt.spices for bellulli ona khara mandakki or garlic churumuri
  4. Transfer them into a mixie jar.spices for bellulli ona khara mandakki or garlic churumuri
  5. Grind it into a coarse powder without adding any water.coriander leaves and salt for bellulli ona khara mandakki or garlic churumuri
  6. Just before serving, add in oil or melted ghee to the mandakki or puffed rice.masala and puffed rice for bellulli ona khara mandakki or garlic churumuri
  7. Also add the ground masala.oil for bellulli ona khara mandakki or garlic churumuri
  8. Give a quick mix.Mix and serve bellulli ona khara mandakki or garlic churumuri
